LIVE MUSIC: Color Machine

Brett Montgomery Winning is a mid-west kid who found a love for playing music when I moved South fifteen years ago. His love for performing provides an outlet to express the passion I feel towards music.

For thirteen years he has focused on playing and studying the bass guitar in multiple different projects. While loved being a part of the rhythm section, he finally decided to step into the limelight and shift gears to developing his vocals and playing acoustic guitar.

Brett grew up on hip-hop, have been playing in a rock & roll band, but have learned that when it is just him and his guitar that he gravitates towards playing, writing, and creating acoustic, singer-song-writer, heartfelt music.

Brett likes to go under the name Color Machine because it makes his feel a wide range of emotions and how special that can be.

Artists that he plays and am influenced by range from Nathaniel Rateliff, The Avett Brothers, Leon Bridges, and The Lumineers, to more rock & roll-like-tunes from bands like Kings Of Leon, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and The Black Keys. It’s just me, a guitar, and a big heart.
